ICLS Launches Improved Key Retainer Device

A new key retainer device which is intended for applications where stricter guidance and notification is required, such as at many colleges, universities, hospitals and government offices, has been unveiled by ICLS. With the KRD-2-KR an employee can insert their release key into the key retainer device allowing approved duties to be done in a secure area, but if duties are more restricted or require added notification to superiors, the employee cannot return the retained key until a designated person is contacted to put in a special reset key. This new function tightens security by eliminating an employee's free reign for perhaps hours on end with no accountability to superiors. www.ICLSglobal.com, (313) 884-9800

Smart Aerial Pre-Codes Fiat and VAG Transponders

The Smart Aerial from Advanced Diagnostics is able to pre-code Fiat® and VAG® transponders from the electronic pre-coding stored in the vehicle and then write the pre-code data onto a blank transponder. Transponder pre-coding simplifies, streamlines and reduces the overall time for programming keys by minimizing the use of additional pre-coding tools. Ready to use, Smart Aerial automatically configures with Advanced Diagnostics’ Smart Dongle and programming devices. Data is seamlessly read and automatically written onto a blank transponder by connecting the Smart Aerial to a Smart Dongle that is used with an Advanced Diagnostics programming device, and inserting the key into the dedicated key slot to begin the process. Smart Aerial can pre-code data onto ID48 and ID46 transponders found within various automotive keys. The PIN code reading software (ADS185 and ADS219) must be installed on the programming device before pre-coding these transponders. www.ilco.us, 800-334-1381 (option 1)
